 Robert L. Walker, CPA, CEBS

Rob Walker is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist with over 30 years experience, and has been published in a national tax journal.  A native of Franklin, Tennessee, he is a “Top 20” graduate of Franklin High School. 

He attained his B.B.A. in Accounting and M.S. in Taxation from the University of Cincinnati, and is a member of the Delta Mu Delta and Beta Gamma Sigma honor fraternities.  Between terms, he was a dealer for the Nashville-based Southwestern Publishing Company.

Rob began his career in public accounting in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was a Tax Manager for Deloitte & Touche.  He returned to Middle Tennessee to implement and manage the retirement plans for General Motors’ new Saturn subsidiary.  He subsequently was recruited by a local CPA firm, LBMC, where as Senior Manager, he streamlined the firm's 401(k) operations improving efficiency, accuracy and client service.

In 1999, Rob founded Walker Benefits Consulting designed from the ground up for superior client service. Using a non-traditional approach, he has drawn from his diverse experience to engineer a firm that combines technology, service and expertise.

Rob has served on the executive boards of the Middle Tennessee Employee Benefits Council and the Nashville Chapter of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists.  He has taught employee benefits courses at Nashville State Technical Institute and has served as church treasurer.  He serves as an Elder of Aspen Grove Christian Church and volunteers his time and expertise with various civic and charitable organizations including Pet Partners and the SPCA of Tennessee.
